Kernel size and shape are important parameters that determine the profitability of wheat, became the main determinant of yield and quality technology. In this study, the segregating populations of 118 inbred lines recombinant, derived from a cross between durum Iran landrace accessions “Iran_249” and Iran durum cultivars “Zardak”, was used to investigate the durum wheat factor kernel morphology and their relationship to the weight of the kernel, and to map corresponding QTL.
A genetic map of a high density, based on wheat 90K iSelect Infinium SNP assays, which consists of 6195 markers, developed and used to perform QTL analysis for the length of the kernel and width, characteristics associated with the shape of the kernel and weight, and the date of the post, using the data phenotypic from three environments.
Overall, a total of 31 different QTL and 9 interaction QTL for kernel size, and 21 different QTLs and 5 QTL interactions to form the kernel identified. The landrace Iran_249 contributions alleles with positive effects for the majority of QTL associated with the length of the kernel and the weight of the kernel indicates that the type of plants that may have considerable potential to increase an existing gene to form seeds and traits sizes and for increased yield further in wheat.
Genomic Regions From an Iranian Landrace Increase Kernel Size in Durum Wheat.
The correlation between the properties and the co-localization of QTL according permitted to define 11 clusters show a causal link between the simplest kernel size properties, such as the length of the kernel and width, and the nature of the secondary are more complex, such as the shape of the kernel and weight-related traits , Lastly, the latest release of T. durum genome reference sequence are allowed to determine the physical interval QTL us / cluster and to hypothesize new gene candidate genes examine the contents of regions of the genome associated with the properties of the target.
